Tour informationSri Lanka is an interesting place to visit. A mixture of cultures including the local and a colonial background are reflected in much of modern life . This tour aims to cover some beautiful scenic places, historical sites of significance, wildlife safari and viewing, some interesting gardens and landscapes, local cuisine and the range of natural landscapes that Sri Lanka is famous for.
The tour will have a Geoffery Bawa flavour with many of the hotels that we are staying in designed by this world famous local architect and landscape designer. We will also visit his estate that has been well preserved by a trust. The hotels really qre quite stunning. I have included a document to the right that shows each property with links to their websites. Well worth a look. Fitness levelThis tour requires quite a bit of walking for up to an hour on uneven ground and some steps. Walking in gardens and in national parks and historical areas is part of the tour. An ability to handle own luggage is essential. A moderate to high level of mobility is required.
