Victoria and Melbourne Flower Show tour - March

We had a very enjoyable 7 day tour to Victoria which began by a couple of days visiting Ballarat for the Begonia festival and gardens of Ballarat. We loved Lambley Nursery and garden as well as a visit to St Erth. Our 3rd night at Ballarat was spent at Sovereign Hill. Full day of fun at Sovereign Hill and a dinner show were enjoyed by all. The next day we will head to see Colac botanical garden and the remaining 12 apostles before overnighting in Apollo Bay. Next day we took a few stops along the Great Ocean Road to experience this scenic drive to Melbourne via the lovely state Rose garden at Werribee, A full day at the wonderful Melbourne flower show on Wednesday was followed the next day followed by a day out in the Mornington Peninsula. We visited the beautiful native garden at the Cranbourne Botanical gardens and the world famous Heronswood before a farewell dinner on Phillip Island and a chance to see the penguins emerge on sunset. A busy but enjoyable week in Victoria.

Grand Tour of Italy and Dalmatian Coast Cruise - May 2016

Our Grand Tour of Italy began with 2 nights in Dubai which gave us the chance to visit the Miracle Garden. It was well worth the visit as was a good day tour around the city of Dubai. 22 days in Italy began with time in Milan, the lovely gardens around the Italian Lakes in the north of the country including Isola Bella and the gardens of Lake Como before heading south to the Cinque Terre and a lovely stay in quiet Lerici. Next to the leaning tower of Pisa, a stop at the largest production nursery in Italy, Vanucci, before a 4 night stay in Florence. Gardens, culture, food, countryside and wine flowed over a very quick 4 days. Next to the little visited Lake Bolsena for 2 lovely nights getting a little insight into the quiet life in Italy. We then journey to the Amalfi Coast and 4 nights in Sorrento - time to see the gardens around Ravello, Napoli and the Isle of Carpi before heading north towards Rome where we stopped at the lovely gardens of Ninfa. Described as the most romantic garden in the world - well we loved it!. 3 nights in and around Rome rounded out a great tour of Italy. Our guide Gianluca di Carlo was first rate and a real joy to travel with as was our driver Claudio. Our large group of 35 had a great time. Most then carried on for a 12 night cruise from Venice down the Dalmatian coast to Malta, Sicily and Rome on the Celebrity Constellation. Stunning scenery, some great photos and heaps of lovely food and wine. A night in Singapore with the lovely Tham as our tour guide helped to break the journey and the Gardens by the Bay and the Orchid garden added to the garden flavour of the tour.

Wild China Garden Tour - October 2016

We had a group of 23 venture to the wilds of China for this epic 28 day journey. Our national guide Eric Liu expertly directed us around some pretty special places.
  • Lijiang
  • Dali
  • Yunnan
  • Guilin
  • Chongqing
  • Yangtze River
  • Longshen
  • Wuzhen
The scenery was superb and the places interesting with some great local hotels and a few surprises along the way. We also visited the Yellow Mountain for an overnight stay but can honestly say we did not see it - it was encased in thick fog the whole time! You win some, you loose some... About half of the group continued on after the main tour to enjoy a chilly Beijing, Shanghai and "misty" Xi'An.  A very supportive group made the journey memorable.
