Egypt and Turkey in March/April
Our first ever Egypt and Turkey tour was something I have wanted to do!
We had a great group of 23 travellers to start in Egypt in historic and beautiful Alexandria and then on to Cairo, Aswan, Luxor and a luxury 4 night Nile River Cruise (using Movenpick vessels). Pyramids, history, culture and interesting cuisine. We had Deena as our guide and Saeed as operations manager who both did a great job. The next phase of our travels was to Turkey starting in Istanbul. The tour was timed to coincide with the annual tulip festival. We will also explored all of the main sites of this historical and ancient city that spans Asia and Europe. We then travelled around Turkey with visits including Anzac Cove, Gallipoli, Troy, Ephesus, Canakkale, Izmir and Cappodocia. Our tour guide was the very knowledgable Hakan. Hotels were a feature in both countries and great organsisation from two tour companies involved. |

Japan Festivals tour AprilOur 2024 Japan Festivals tour was great fun. We had a group of 27 travellers with many having not previously being visitors to Japan. Our guide Akitoshi made sure we all the tour ran smoothly thanks to careful planning by Haneka. Gardens were of course a real feature with many truly world class in full spring flower.
We also visited some famous and beautiful temples and shrines and had a traditional Japanese Hotel stay. The tour startd in Tokyo and visited Fukuoka, Hiroshima, Matsue, Kyoto, Mt Fuji, Nara and Nagoya. |
Northern Territory Winter 24Our first ever Northern Territory was a tour of 2 parts. First we landed in Darwin to see the tropical north and then flew to the red centre. Out tour company was Get Lost Tours who provided our driver for the top end, Tim and the red centre, Brent. Our tour group was a lovely group of 22 who had a great time in this amazing part of Australia. Many tour highlights included

South Australia in Spring - OctoberOur South Australia tour followed a similar path to the 2022 tour as it went so well!
A lovely group of 24 people met up with our lovely driver Remo in Adelaide aend began. First night in Port Pirie before visit in Port Augusta to the arid lands gardens and other points of interest. We then hade 3 nights in the Flinders Ranges Wilpena Pound resort, traveled to the Barossa Valley, to Renmark for the lovely annual open gardens, to Hahndorf staying in town and then to Kangaroo Island for 3 nights. We did visit a heap of wonderful spots before finishing our 17 day tour with 2 nights in Adelaide. A real bonus was to see the glass exhibition of Dale Chihuly in the Adelaide Botanical gardens. |
Christmas tour to SingaporeOur first Christmas tour to Singapore was a great success. Singapore is a great place to visit at any time and at Christmas it celebrates extensively (despite it not having that many Christians as locals). Our group of 25 was joined by experienced tour guide Lawrence Hoe to visit a heap of interesting places and of course eat well!
We visted gardens, the Zoo, the new Paradise bird park and city sightseeing. We also visited a rooftop farm and a visit to an organic vegetable fram in one of the more rural parts of Singapore. Being a Christmas tour the display at at Gardens by the Bay was a highilight. I think I will be back again for Christmas soon! |
Thanks for visiting. We hope to hear from you.
