August 23 - September 12 2025
Kenya, tanzania and Zanzibar
Wildlife and wildflowers tour.

Tour information

Our first tour to Kenya and Tanzania has been many years in the planning. A chance introduction to a specialist tour operator, Adventure Out Loud, will provide the expertise and contacts to make the tour special. The tour is planned to try and see the great migration of herbivores in on the Serengeti and Masai Mara to mazimise the chance of see a diversity of wildlife. The tour will start in Nairobi with a 4 night stay with safaris, wildlife enounters, farms visits and a special cultural experience in an area sponsored and supported by Adventure out Loud. We will then have more safari experiences staying quality accomodation in the Masai Mara, Seregeti and Amboseli national parks. We will visit Mt Kilimanjaro and a beautiful waterfall in the area as well as a local farm and tea plantation. The accomodation promises to be pretty special (please see the Accomodation details in the tour documents to the right). We will also have the option of a balloon ride over the Serengeti.
The next phase of our African journey is a flight to Zanazibar and some time to explore the culture and spice history of this interesting island. The last few days of our journey will in a lovely beachside resort.
I think the tour represents good value for money with many tour inclusions and meals.
Tour highlights should include:
  • Interesting wildlife and wildflowers all the way along
  • Cultural experiences beyond the everyday
  • Safari camps
  • local guides
  • Private coach and safari jeeps with local drivers and a guides
  • lovely hotels - including a few really quirky and luxurious ones
  • tour group size limited to 20
  • all organised!

Our tour operator -
Adventure out Loud

Adventure Out Loud is a social enterprise based in Brisbane specialising in African travel with a purpose. The following words are from their website
To us, this means we put the same emphasis on making a difference as making a profit. That is why we donate 50% of our profits to keep disadvantaged children in school.  We also believe in doing the right thing. To us, this means:
  • Buying local where possible,
  • Paying fair wages for local staff and contractors,
  • Taking responsibility for reducing our environmental impact,
  • Contributing to animal conservation, and
  • Respecting and preserving local culture.
I am really pleased to be working with Nate on this tour as I think we will see some amazing sites,  thanks to his expertise and experience,  and also play a small part in leaving something behind in the communities we visit.
