March Northern Rivers of NSW
Our first short tour to this lovely part of the world marked the beginning of tours again after the COVID period. We stayed at the lovely Peppers Resort at Kingscliff and visited a range of lovely Gold Coast gardens, Tropical Fruit World, coffee plantation, macadamia plantations and of course some nurseries along the way. The first 2 days were incredibly wet with some flooding rains but the group got on well and found a way to enjoy each activity - umbrellas up! Good to be back on the road even if the trip marked 1 year since Vivien passed away. I know what that she would say - just get on with it and enjoy yourself....

Tasmania in autumn colour - April 2021Our autumn tour of Tasmania started and finished in Hobart with many interesting places along the way. The autumn colour in the gardens visited were stunning. We visited the Huon Valley and got a real feel for the local area with Andrew Smith from Willy Smiths apples giving us a look at their amazing enterprise. All the visits that we had were marked by the enthusiasm and friendsip of the people we met along the way. As well as gardens we visited wineries, chocolate places, took the Gorden River Cruise, Wineglass Bay cruise and the historic steam train ride from Queenstown into the rather wet cold rainforests of the area. All memorable. Our coach driver from Coal River Coaches was Linsdsay who did a great job and kept us on track and entertained. I especially want to thank the 21 travellers who made the trip a great one.

Northern Rivers May tourOur second Northern Rivers tour was run over the last week in May. Beautiful weather and lush scenery along with some great gardens were the lasting impressions. As for the first tour we stayed at the lovely Peppers Resort at Kingscliff and visited a range of lovely Gold Coast gardens, Tropical Fruit World, Zendtfelds coffee plantation, the garden of the enthusiastic and wonderful Phil Dudman and of course some nurseries along the way. The Tweed River cruise was possible on this trip and was a great experience. The cruise was run by Tweed Escapes who did a a great job and are highly recomended. Thanks to the lovely group who made the trip fun to run!
