What we do.

Travel Tours

Wattletree garden tours specialise in small friendly garden based tours to destinations overseas and within Australia. We have conducted over 50 tours and have visited famous gardens and attractions in more than 55 countries. Every tour is different. Our tours are individually designed to showcase the best of everywhere that we visit. Natural scenery, cultural and tourists sites and of course the very best gardens. We like to think our tours are very well balanced and travel a path completely different to the big operators. We want our tours to be friendly, fun and truly good value. We travel because we love it. If you are interested in where we have been please investigate the past tours tab – if you are interested in where we are going please click the current tours section.

Presentations

Brian Sams is an experienced presenter. Whether you are looking for a workshop series for garden staff, organic gardening workshops, garden show presentations or garden club talks we can work out a suitable presentation.  Brian has more than 25 years’ experience as a teacher and public speaker and recognises that getting people engaged is the key to a great presentation. Each presentation is tailored to the audience and presented with enthusiasm, knowledge and hopefully some humour!

Garden Advice and Resources

We have developed a number of free fact sheets that you are welcome to download. They have been developed in response to questions or situations that have arisen in the Toowoomba and Darling Downs area of Queensland. We have also a number of gardening videos that you might find useful on a range of gardening topics. These were produced in partnership with the Toowoomba Regional Council.

Why Wattletree?

There are a few reasons why our little business is called Wattletree Horticulture. My daughter called one of our homes Wattletree Cottage. Of course our national flower is the golden wattle. When I was growing up every year i would have my picture taken on my birthday under a wattle (Acacia baileyana) because they always were in flower at the time. It became a tradition that l loved (at least until my late teenage years!). Now the green and gold of Wattle travels with us everywhere
