Tour information

Sri Lanka is a hidden gem. This tour is designed for travellers keen to see the best of this beautiful country. We will explore some famous landmarks and national parks many of whichy you have probably never heard of! The tour has a Geoffrey Bawa influence with 3 of our longer stays in resorts that he designed. Geoffrey was the leading architect in tropical building and landscape design and is well worth researching. Check out the hotel list in the tour documents section of this page - the resorts and hotels are a  real feature. We will be looked after!
The tour is going to be guided by Waruna who has guided us on previous tours. He has been a great help in suggesting places to visit and tour logistics. If you join us you will love him!
I think the tour represents good value for money with many tour inclusions and all meals. Meals are included to ensure food safety standards are ok for our Western sensibilities and also to showcase the great local cuisine.

Fitness level

​This tour requires walking for an up to an hour sometimes on uneven ground and some steps. Walking in gardens and in historical areas is part of the tour. An ability to handle own luggage is essential. A moderate to high level of mobility is required. A range of meals will be part of the tour including of course Sri Lankana cuisine.

Our tour leader Waruna!

Waruna is an experienced tour guide and great people person. His career was in National Parks before tourism. He specialised in elephant research so knows much about the Islands amazing wildlife.

Tour price

The land tour price is $6495 per person twin share. 
This includes:
  • all transportation in private coache and jeeps
  • local tour guides for tours 
  • all entry fees and all tipping
  • all accommodation in quality well located hotels 
  • all meals as indicated on itinerary

This excludes
  • International airfares
